COMMON O R D E R These Writ petitions have been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to issue passports to the petitioners on the basis of their passport application file Nos.MD2069900150917 and MD2069900140917 so as to enable them to travel abroad as expeditiously as possible, within the time stipulation as prescribed by this Court.

2. Heard, Mr.R.Anand, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.R.Murugappan, learned Central Government Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that it would suffice if the applications of the petitioners is directed to be disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4. In view of the limited scope of the prayer in the Writ petition, without going into the merits of the matter, the respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioners, and pass orders positively on merits and in accordance with law, after giving an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioners, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petitions are disposed of. No costs.
