ORDER

The present writ petition has been filed by the daughter of a deceased employee, who was working in the respondent Sugar Mill seeking compassionate appointment.

2. The petitioner's father who was working as a Mazdoor in the respondent Sugar Mill had died in harness in the year 1994. At the relevant point of time, the writ petitioner, who is the daughter of the deceased employee was a minor. The mother of the deceased employee was accommodated in a non sanctioned post as a Daily Worker and she has also retired on attaining superannuation on 31.05.2023.

3. The writ petitioner herein on attaining majority had submitted an application on 01.10.2009 to the second respondent herein seeking compassionate appointment. The said representation has been received by the respondent and acknowledged also. However, no orders have been passed by the respondent herein in accordance with law. According to the learned 2/5

Counsel appearing for the writ petitioner, the family is still in an indigent condition and the petitioner may be accommodated in any appropriate post.

In view of the above said facts, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the second respondent herein to pass orders on the representation of the petitioner, dated 01.10.2009 on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above said observation, this writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
