PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent herein to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 24.08.2015 pending before the respondent herein within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

The Writ Petition has come up with this Writ Petition seeking a direction to the respondent to dispose of the appeal made by him dated 24.08.2015.

2. Heard the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondent.

3. The petitioner has stated that he is in possession of the land comprising Survey No.502/3 situated at Periya Kurukkai Village measuring an extent of 1 Acre 67 cents. The land is classified as a Government Tharisu and was assigned to him by way of D Memo. While that being so, the Tahsildar has entered the name of one Veeramalai, S/o.Murugan and issued a patta in his favour. Aggrieved by the said action of the Tahsildar, the petitioner has made a representation to the respondent, which is still pending on the file of the respondent.

4. Without going into the merits of the case, a direction is issued to the respondent to consider and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, on the appeal made by the petitioner, dated 24.08.2015, after giving notice to the parties concerned and affording an opportunity of personal hearing. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
