This Writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents 2 and 3 from interfering with the religious right of offering prayer by the petitioner in the upstairs portion of his house in D.No.34A, Manimutharkulam, Pathamadai Post, Tirunelveli District.
2. Heard, Mr.H.Arumugam, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Muthukaruppan, learned Additional Government https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Pleader, appearing for the respondents.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner is directed to be disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within the time stipulated by this Court.
4. In view of the limited scope of the prayer that is now sought before this Court by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without going into the merits of the petitioner's case, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, 09.05.2017, and pass orders positively on merits and in accordance with law, after giving an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner, within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, the Miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
