..Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to appoint the petitioner as according to his qualification in the respondents' office under compassionate appointment in the place of his father Late.N.Ponnumuthaiyan vide his representations, dated 27.12.2001 and 09.01.2014 and dispose the same within the time frame as fixed by this Honourable Court.

ORDER

Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

2. By consent of parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he is seeking compassionate appointment in the place of his father, who died in harness on 05.08.2001. The petitioner claims to have made application on 27.12.2001. Third application was made in the year 2013. The fourth application was made on 09.01.2014 along with required documents before the respondents. However, none of these applications were considered by the respondents and the petitioner has been made to run from pillar to post for the last thirteen years to get compassionate appointment. Hence, the petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition for the above stated relief.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents submitted that the representation of the petitioner, dated 09.01.2014 would be considered within a stipulated time.

5. Therefore, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 09.01.2014 and pass appropriate orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
