(in Cr.No.556 of 2011) : Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd Respondent to grant Parole for a period of 15 days to the petitioner's husband namely S.Gopakumar, son of Sugumaran Nair, life convict, now confined at Central Prison, Palayamkottai, in Prisoner NO.LCT.3037 RANEX4, to participate in petitioner's daughter marriage and perform his customary rites. O R D E R

The husband of the petitioner is a life convict prisoner and serving sentence in the Central Prison, Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli. The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a writ of mandamus to grant parole leave for a period of fifteen days.

2.According to the petitioner, her daughter's marriage was solemnized on 01.06.2017 by the elders and relatives of her family and she has only one daughter and her husband as a father has to exercise his customary rites during the marriage of their daughter and hence her request for parole needs consideration. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.On instructions, the learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that the petitioner's claim for parole permission that too for the emergency, this Court may direct the concerned authorities to consider her claim.

4.Taking into consideration the extraordinary situation and the emergency situation, this Court directs the second respondent to consider and pass orders for parole leave to the husband of the petitioner, within a period of three days, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
