Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of mandamus directing a) to establish the coaching centers for students of all Government/Government Aided schools in the state of Tamilnadu to participate all National level entrance examinations conducting in India for joining the higher education.

b) To promote awareness about all other National level entrance 2/7

examinations for higher studies and to establish boot camps and online portal for all Government/Government Aided students in which the information regarding the various examinations, institutions, higher educational courses should be made available within the time stipulated by this Court.

[Order of the Court was made by S.M.SUBRAMANIAM, J.] The writ petition has been instituted seeking a direction to the Government to establish the coaching centres for students of all Government/Government Aided schools in the state of Tamilnadu to participate all National level entrance examinations conducting in India for joining the higher education and to promote awareness about all other National level entrance examinations for higher studies and to establish boot camps and online portal for all Government/Government Aided students in which the information regarding the various examinations 3/7

institutions higher educational courses should be made available. 2.The learned Government Pleader would submit that coaching centres are available across the State of Tamil Nadu for NEET Examination and for some other examinations.

3.However, the learned Counsel for the petitioner would submit that such facility may be extended to all such examinations including all India examinations.

4.It is a administrative decision to be taken by the Government for establishing more number of coaching centres by making suitable assessment. Court cannot interfere with such administrative affairs of the Government, which has to be considered on need basis and considering the demand in urban and rural areas, as the case may be. Therefore, the direction as such sought for in the writ petition cannot be granted. However, the Government may consider these aspects for providing better opportunity to the students studying in rural areas enabling them to appear for all India level competitive examinations seeking admission for 4/7

various courses.

5.With the above observation, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
