The petitioner seeks for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to regularize the petitioner as permanent sanitary worker of the 2nd respondent extending with all monitory benefits on the light f the tamil nadu industrial establishment (conferment of permanent status to workmen) act 1981 and on the basis of the G.O Ms No.71 of municipal administration & water supply department dated 05.05.1998
2. The learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representations of the petitioner dated 27.02.2017 and 10.05.2017 are directed to be disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
4. In view of the limited scope of the prayer, without going into the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representations dated 27.02.2017 and 10.05.2017 on merits and in accordance with law and after providing an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as to other parties concerned, if any, pass appropriate orders thereon within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner is permitted to produce necessary documents to R1 and the same shall also be considered while disposing of the representation.
