O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for a Writ of Mandamus to issue a writ of mandamus, to pass an order transferring the petitioner to any one of vacancy available in Kanyakumari District as BT Assistant (Maths) in the General Counselling for the academic year 2017-18 scheduled to be held on 30.05.2017 by considering the transfer application, dated 04.05.2017 of the petitioner.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner is directed to be disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

In view of the limited scope of the prayer, without going into the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the transfer application, of the petitioner, dated 04.05.2017 on merits and in accordance with law after providing an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as the other parties concerned, if any, and pass appropriate orders on or before 30.05.2017, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
