PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 26.09.2020 and direct the respondent to provide compensation to the petitioner for land acquired by them in Survey No.13/2A, 13/3, 13-7B, 14/1B, 14/2B and 14/3B in Timmanatham Village, Usilampatti Taluk, Madurai District.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed for Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 26.09.2020 and to provide compensation for the land acquired by the respondent.

2. Heard Mr.S.Balaji, the Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, Mr. C.Baskaran, the Learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents and perused the material documents available on record. 2/5

3. The contention of the petitioner is that the petitioner's land was taken by the respondents for forming village road. However, the respondents have not disbursed any compensation to the petitioner.

4. Therefore, the respondents are directed to survey the land, fix compensation as per the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 and consider the petitioner's representation, dated 26.09.2020, within a period of Eight weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

5. With these observations and directions, this Writ Petition is allowed. No Costs.
