Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents, to act as per the Tamil Nadu Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Scheme and Rules 2015 and in G.O.(ms).No.159, Municipal Administration and Water supply (MA IV), dated 02.11.2015, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated on 02.05.2017, within the time frame fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents, to act as per the Tamil Nadu Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Scheme and Rules 2015 and in G.O.(ms).No.159, Municipal Administration and Water supply (MA IV), dated 02.11.2015, by considering the petitioner's representation, dated on 02.05.2017, within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2. Mr.K.P.Krishnadas, learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner is directed to be disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4. In view of the limited scope of the prayer, without going into the merits of the matter, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 02.05.2017, on merits and in accordance with law after providing an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as the other parties concerned, if any, and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No Costs.
