Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 6th respondent to provide Medical reimbursement of Rs.60,464/- 2/7
(Rupees Sixty Thousand Four Hundred Sixty Four only) to the petitioner towards the Medical expenses incurred by the Petitioner for his treatment.

ORDER
The present writ petition has been filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 6th respondent to provide Medical reimbursement of Rs.60,464/- (Rupees Sixty Thousand Four Hundred Sixty Four only) to the petitioner towards the Medical expenses incurred by the Petitioner for his treatment.
2. Heard Mr.T.Indrachithu, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.J.Ashok, learned Additional Government Pleader 3/7
appearing for the respondents 1 to 5 and Mr.C.Karthik, learned counsel appearing for the sixth respondent.
3. The petitioner herein had given a representation to the 5th respondent seeking for medical reimbursement under New Health Insurance Scheme and the same was forwarded to the third respondent. Thereafter, the same was placed before the fourth respondent and the fourth respondent/ District Level Empowering Committee has recommended his claim to the sixth respondent. But the Insurance company has not taken any steps to disburse his medical claim and hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
4. It is further submitted that the fifth respondent has forwarded the claim of the petitioner to the sixth respondent/Insurance company and the same is pending.
5. Considering the facts and circumstances, there shall 4/7
be a direction to the respondents herein to consider the claim of petitioner for medical reimbursement afresh on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the claim of the petitioner and it is open to the respondents to consider the same on its own merits.
6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
