[Order of the Court was made by M.V.MURALIDARAN, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to grant permission and provide adequate police protection for the celebration of Kumbabishekam and subsequent Kodai Festival to Arulmighu Mutharamman and Arulmighu Mubidathiamman Kovil at Thanakarkulam Village, Tirunelveli District, commencing from 23.06.2017 to 28.06.2017, in pursuance of the petitioner's representation, dated 17.05.2017.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the the petitioner along with the other villagers have decided to conduct Kumbabishekam and Kodai Festival to Arulmighu Mutharamman and Arulmighu Mubidathiamman Kovil at Thanakarkulam Village, between 23.06.2017 and 28.06.2017, therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation, dated 17.05.2017 to the respondents 1 and 2 requesting them to grant permission therefor. Since no order has been passed on the said representation, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition for the above mentioned relief.
3.The learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents 1 and 2 submitted that due to some friction between two groups, for the last three years no permission was granted to conduct Kumbabishekam and Kodai Festival to the above said temples.
4.However, considering the submissions made on either side, the respondents 1 and 2 are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, 17.05.2017 and pass appropriate orders, by imposing stringent conditions, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of ten days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5.With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
