PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of mandamus, to direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 02.05.2017 and to carry out mutation in the Town Survey Register based on the Revenue Records in respect of land bearing in Old Survey No.152/New Filed No.119 situated at Balan Nagar, Paramakudi Town, Ramanathapuram District and classified as "Natham" instead of "Urani" and consequently direct the 1st respondent to furnish the corrected copy of Land Register to the petitioner in respect of Plot.No.49, situated at Old Survey No.152/New Filed No.119 situated at Balan Nagar, Paramakudi Town, Ramanathapuram District, within a stipulated time may be fixed by this Court. situated at Balan Nagar, Paramakudi Town, Ramanathapuram District, within a stipulated time may be fixed by this Court. 2.The learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents 1-3. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner is disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4.In view of the limited scope of the prayer, without going into the merits of the matter, the 1st respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 02.05.2017 by giving personal opportunity to the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
