ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the 3rd respondent to dispose of her Patta Transfer Application No.2022/0103/26/156209 dated 18.05.2022, seeking transfer of patta for the properties situated in S.Nos. 135/6B3A1 and 135/6B3A3 at S.Maraikulam Village, Kariapatti Taluk,

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Gangatharan, learned Government Advocate who takes notice for the respondents.

3. By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself. 2/6

4. It is the case of the petitioner that she claims right over the above said property under a registered Gift Deed executed by her father dated 04.02.2021. The present Patta for the subject property stands in the name of the petitioner's father in Patta No.83. The petitioner submitted an online application dated 18.05.2022 in A.No.2022/0103/26/156209, seeking transfer of Patta in her name. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

The learned Government Advocate who takes notice for the respondents would submit that pursuant to the application submitted by the petitioner, the 2nd respondent initiated enquiry in his proceedings bearing M1/vy;/16-170-2023 dated 28.12.2023 and the same is pending on the file of the 2nd respondent.

6. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the 2nd respondent to complete the enquiry initiated by him in his proceedings M1/vy;/16-170-2023 dated 28.12.2023 and pass final orders on its own 3/6

merits within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner and other interested parties.

7. The writ petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
