PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to allot the free house to the petitioner in pursuant to the original allotment order dated 24.06.2010 and as per the reply dated 11.02.2015 by considering the representations of the petitioner dated 06.03.2017 and 15.05.2017.

The petitioner seeks for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to allot the free house to the petitioner in pursuant to the original allotment order dated 24.06.2010 and as per the reply dated 11.02.2015 by considering the representations of the petitioner dated 06.03.2017 and 15.05.2017.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representations of the petitioner is disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

In view of the limited scope of the prayer, without going into the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 06.03.2017 and the first and second respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 15.05.2017 in the light of the order passed by the RDO on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order by giving personal opportunity to the petitioner.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
