ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to dispose of the representation of the petitioner dated 26.09.2016 seeking permission to dig a well in the petitioner's agricultural land in S.No.64/3A to an extent of 0.89 acre situated at Pannapatti Village, Kulithalai Taluk, Karur Distrit within a time frame fixed by this Court. 2.According to the petitioner, he wants to dig a well for agricultural purpose and therefore, he submitted representation to the revenue authorities. However, the respondents prevented him to dig well. Hence, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 3.The Tahsildar filed a counter affidavit stating that they have no objection for digging well for agricultural purpose
and if it has been used for any other purpose, they will take action in accordance with law.
4.Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner undertakes that the petitioner is going to dig a well only for agricultural purpose and not for other purpose and therefore, the respondents may be directed to give permission in this regard. 5.In such view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of permitting the petitioner to dig well only for agricultural purpose which should not be used for any other purpose as undertaking given by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, however, if the well is used for any other purpose, the authorities concerned are at liberty to take action in the manner known to law. No costs.
