ORDER

Heard Mr.K.Gokul, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.Gladson Michael Rajadurai, learned Standing Counsel, for the respondents. 2.This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents to allow the petitioner to retire from service on Voluntary Retirement Service (VRS) on the basis of the petitioner's representation, dated 15.03.2024 within a stipulated time of period fixed by this Court.

3. By consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

4.(i). The petitioner is said to have been offered to retire from service under Voluntary Retirement Scheme his representation on 15.03.2024. So far, no decision has been taken by the respondent. As contemplated under Voluntary Retirement Scheme, since no action has been taken by the respondents, the petitioner's earlier representation has got expired on 15.06.2024.

5.In view of the above, the petitioner is at liberty to renew his offer for Voluntary Retirement and on receipt of the same, the respondents are directed to take a decision either to accept or to reject the petitioner's request for Voluntary Retirement, within a period of 90 days as prescribed in the Rules.

6. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
