Heard Mr.K.Vinoharan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.J.Ashok, learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents. 1/4

2. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to dispose of the revision dated 10.07.2024 within a time frame stipulated by this Court. 4.The petitioner was imposed with the order of punishment of removal from service for his unauthorized absence. Challenging the same, the petitioner filed an appeal before the second respondent and the same was dismissed without considering the plea made by the petitioner. Hence, the petitioner filed a revision before the first respondent on 10.07.2024. Since the same was not considered so far, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

5. It is needless to point out that the petitioner has filed the revision only on 10.07.2024. Without giving a reasonable time to the respondents to consider the same, the petitioner has moved this Court by filing this writ petition.

6.However, no prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if a direction is issued by this Court to the first respondent to pass final orders on the revision filed by the petitioner.

7.In the light of the above observation, there shall be a direction to the first respondent herein to consider the petitioner's revision dated 10.07.2024 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not gone into the merits of the claim of the petitioner and it is open to the respondents to consider the same on its own merits.

8. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
