Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st and 2nd respondents to provide adequate police protection for his family members based on his representation dated 18.05.2016 and pass such further or other orders as this court may deem fit and proper in the above circumstances.

2. By consent of parties, the main Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
3. The petitioner seeks for a direction to the respondents to provide adequate police protection for his family members. To that effect, he has already made a representation on 18.05.2016, which, according to the petitioner, has not been considered so far.
4. Therefore, without expressing any view on the merits of the matter, this Court only directs the second respondent to consider the above representation of the petitioner and pass orders on the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
same, on merits and in accordance with law, also after hearing the petitioner, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. It is made clear that contempt will not lie on failure of the 2nd respondent to consider the representation within the time stipulated.
