ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed to direct the respondents to settle the petitioner's surrender leave salary for a period of 131 days in respect of the years 2011-2012, 2012-2013, 2013-2014, 2014-2015, 2015-2016, 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 together with interest at the rate of 18% per annum till the date of payment. 2.By consent of both parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.The grievance of the petitioner is that with the relief sought for in the prayer, though he has made a representation, dated 05.10.2020 before the respondents, so far no action has been taken. Hence, the present writ petition.

W.P.(MD) No.17233 of 2020 4.Mr.P.M.Vishnuvarthan, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation, dated 05.10.2020 will be disposed of by the respondents on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks. 5.Recording the submission made by the learned standing counsel, this Court is inclined to pass the following directions:- i) the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.10.2020 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order; ii) if any amount is arrived at by the respondents, the same shall be paid to the petitioner within a period of four weeks therefrom;
6.In the light of the above, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
