(Order of the court was made by M.V.MURALIDARAN,J.) The petitioner seeks for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the
respondents to take necessary steps to permit the petitioner and others who belong to Schedule Caste community to participate in the Kodai Vizha festival of Thesigapuram Arulmigu Thesiamman Temple, Thesigapuram, North Street, Rajapalayam Taluk, Virudhunagar District scheduled from 05.06.2017 to 07.06.2017 by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 12.05.2017. 2.The learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner is disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
4.In view of the limited scope of the prayer, without going into the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed toconsider the representation dated 12.05.2017 after giving opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of one weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
