ORDER

The petitioner said to have filed an application before the District Registrar, the respondent herein to cancel the settlement dated 29.10.2009 which was registered on the file of the Sub Registrar, Kunnur. Since no order has been passed, the petitioner approached the Inspector General of Registration, Chennai who in turn directed the respondent to conduct enquiry but directed the respondent not to pass final orders since validity of circular 67, dated 31.11.2011 issued by the Inspector General of Registration is challenged and is pending before this Court. 2.Admittedly, now this Court has upheld the validity of the Circular 67, dated 03.11.2011 issued by the Inspector General of Registration and therefore, there is no impediment for conducting enquiry.

3.In the above circumstances, the respondent is directed to conduct enquiry and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving opportunity to the petitioner as well as to the rival claimants if any. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
