ORDER

This Writ Petition had been filed seeking for a direction against the respondents No.1 and 2 to issue the Non-Traceable Certificate to the petitioner, based on the petitioner's representations.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has lodged a complaint before the second respondent for misplacing of his original sale deed, dated 10.07.2013 registered as document No.789 of 2013, on the file of Sub Registrar, Manamelkudi. He would further submit that the petitioner has also made paper publication with regard to the missing of original document.

4. Considering the above, the second respondent police is directed to conduct enquiry ensuring the said document has not been deposited for any purpose, following the circular issued by the Director General of Police within a period of three months from the date of receipt of 2/4

a copy of this order. Depending upon the outcome of the above said enquiry, the petitioner can workout his remedy through appropriate proceedings, if not satisfied.

4.With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
