O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to give arrears of monetary benefits from the date of promotion as Special Sub Inspector of Police on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 02.07.2016. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents. By consent the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage.

3.The petitioner was originally appointed as Grade II Police Constable on 01.04.1981. As he was listed under the "educationally not qualified category" he was not considered for promotion. Later on, he was given promotion in the cadre of Grade https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

I Police Constable on 01.04.1995 and Head Constable on 25.07.2000 and Special Sub Inspector of Police on 25.07.2010. The petitioner retired from service on 30.04.2012.

4.It is represented by the learned counsel for the petitioner that some of the persons employed along with the petitioner got notional promotion and monetary benefits from the period of promotion to the post of Special Sub Inspector of Police. But the petitioner was not extended the same benefits and that made the petitioner to give a representation dated 02.07.2016 to the respondents. As there was no response, this Writ petition has been filed.

5.It is agreeable for the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.07.2016 and to pass orders within a period of eight weeks.

6.Accordingly, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.07.2016 and to pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7.The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
