Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to give compassionate appointment to the petitioner in the respondent Port Trust based on her educational qualification and eligibility due to the death of her husband D.Victor Fernandez, by considering her representation dated 20.06.2014 within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

Non consideration of the petitioner's representation, dated 20.06.2014, seeking compassionate appointment in the respondent Port Trust, based on her educational qualification and eligibility, due to the death of her husband viz., D.Victor Fernandez, she has come forward with the present Writ Petition before this Court.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that, the seniority of the petitioner will be taken into consideration, as and when the vacancy arises.

3. Recording the said submission, this Writ Petition stands disposed of, directing the respondent to consider the candidature of the petitioner, on the basis of seniority, as and when vacancy arises. No costs.
