(Crime No.56 of 2018) : Respondent Prayer: Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code to direct the respondent herein to complete the investigation in Crime No.56 of 2018, on the file of the Thattarmadam Police Station and to file final report before the competent Judicial Magistrate within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

O R D E R

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent herein to complete the investigation in Crime No.56 of 2018, on the file of the Thattarmadam Police Station and to file final report before the competent Judicial Magistrate. 2.According to the petitioner, based on a complaint given by him, a First Information Report has been registered in Crime No.56 of 2018. Even though the crime has been registered in the year 2018, so far no investigation has been conducted and no final report has been filed before the concerned Magistrate, hence, the present petition has been filed.

3.Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondent, on instructions, submitted that already enquiry is over and negative final report has also been filed before the concerned Judicial Magistrate and referred charge sheet notice has also been served to the petitioner to his permanent address through the Village Administrative Officer.

4.Considering the fact that already final report has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, at this stage, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. If at all the petitioner has any grievance against the negative final report, it is always open to him to take appropriate remedy in the manner known to law.

5.The Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed accordingly.
