O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to issue separate patta to the petitioner for the land situate in Survey No.180/33, Panagkulam Village, Thidakottai Post, Devakottai Taluk, Sivagangai District, by considering his representation dated 02.05.2022.

2. Heard the arguments of Mr.S.Muthukumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mrs.S.Jeya Priya, learned Government Advocate for the respondents.

3. It is the case of the petitioner that he has been in possession and enjoyment of 0.00.92 Ares (2 1⁄4 cents) in S.No.180/33 situate at Panagkulam Village, Thidakottai Post, Devakottai Taluk, Sivagangai District for the past 40 years, by putting up a construction. Based on his long possession, he submitted a representation before the respondents on 2/5

02.05.2022, seeking issuance of free house site patta. The said representation has not been considered by the respondents. Therefore, he has come before this Court.

4. The learned Government Advocate, who appear for the respondents would submit that the representation will be dealt with in accordance with law, within a time stipulated by this Court.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 02.05.2022 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
