:Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to give employment to the petitioner as per his educational qualification within the stipulated time as fixed by this Court vide representation, dated 20.09.2016. For Petitioner : Mr.K.Kulanthai Vikram For Respondents : Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, Additional Government Pleader.
O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to give employment to the petitioner as per his educational qualification, by considering his representation, dated 20.09.2016.
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader who took notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
3.The case of the petitioner is that the land to the extent of 1.19 acres situated at Survey No.153/2, Kalloothu Village, belongs to the family of the petitioner. Excepting that land, they have no other lands. The said land was acquired by the respondents vide Acquisition Proceedings No.4/78-79, dated 19.03.1979 and a sum Rs.4,855/- was given as compensation. The third respondent by his proceedings, dated 26.02.008 made in Na.Ka.No.1594/97, issued Employment Priority Certificate. The petitioner completed B.A. English Literature and also Diploma in Computer Application. He https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
made several representations to the respondents in person seeking employment. But, the same were not considered so far. Therefore, this writ petition has been filed.
4.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is a graduate in B.A.English and had completed Diploma in Computer Application and inspite of several representations made and several requests submitted to the respondents, employment is not given to him. Representation dated 20.09.2016 has been submitted to the respondents and as his representation was not considered, he has come up with this writ petition. In support of the claim of the petitioner, copy of Employment Priority Certificate has been produced, in which, it has been specifically stated that the amount of compensation awarded is only Rs.4,855/- and the petitioner did not own any other land. 5.The learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that it is agreeable for the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner and to pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks.
6.Recording the submission made by the learned Additional Government Pleader for the respondents, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.09.2016 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7.The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
