.. Respondents Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the Respondents to fill the remaining 18 vacant posts out of 31 sanctioned posts in Food Analysis Laboratory Madurai within the time stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by S.NAGAMUTHU, J.) The petitioner has come up with this public interest litigation seeking a direction to the respondents to fill up the 18 vacant posts in Food Analysis Laboratory, Madurai, within a time to be stipulated by this Court.

2. We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader taking notice for the respondents.

3. A perusal of the records would go to show that of course, there are certain vacancies in the post of various commodities in Food and Analysis Laboratory, Madurai. There are certain administrative reasons and administrative exigencies. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

There are vacancies in several offices. All the posts canot be filled up over night. We are hopeful that the respondents 1 and 2 would take appropriate action to fill up these posts. But we cannot issue a positive direction stipulating a time to fill up these posts.

4. In such view of the matter, the writ petition is dismissed, however, with the observation that the respondents 1 and 2 shall consider and to take steps to fill up these vacancies. No costs.
