For Respondent : Mr.T.Senthil Kumar, Additional Public Prosecutor PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec.438 of Cr.P.C PRAYER :- For Anticipatory Bail in Crime No. 1484 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police.

ORDER : The Court made the following order :- The petitioner/Accused No.8, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Section 8 (c) & 20(b)(ii)(C) of Narcotic Drugs & Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, in Crime No.1484 of 2020, seeks anticipatory bail. 2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner along with other accused were found in possession of 200 Kg of Ganja. Hence, the complaint.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is innocent and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that based on the confession of the co-accused, this petitioner was implicated in this case. No previous case is pending against the petitioner. CRL OP(MD). No.13992 of 2022 4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that totally 8 accused are involved in this case. The petitioner is arrayed as A8. The petitioner along with other accused were found in possession of 200 Kg of Ganja. The contraband involved in this case is commercial quantity and the investigation is in very preliminary stage. Hence, he strongly opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. 5.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the facts that the contraband involved in this case is commercial quantity and the investigation is in very preliminary stage, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
