Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to cancel the patta No.1156 in favour of 3rd respondent and confirm the patta No.1131 in Survey No.224/73 extent of 0.00.81 ares situated at Kinnimangalam Village, Thirumangalam Taluk, Madurai District, based on petitioner's representation, dated 04.05.2025 and 30.05.2025.

ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to first respondent to cancel the patta No.1156 issued in the name of third respondent and confirm the patta No.1131 issued in the name of the petitioner in respect of the property situated in Survey No.224/73, with an extent of 0.00.81 ares, at Kinnimangalam Village, Thirumangalam Taluk, Madurai District, by considering his representations, dated 04.05.2025 and 30.05.2025.

2. According to the petitioner, the above mentioned property was assigned in his favour by the Government in Patta No.1131. Subsequently, Patta No.1156 was issued in favour of third respondent for the very same property. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation before first respondent on 30.05.2025, seeking cancellation of patta issued in favour of third respondent and confirmation of patta issued in favour of the petitioner. The same has not been considered. Hence, he has come before this Court.

3. The Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for respondents 1 and 2, submits that the representation submitted by the

petitioner will be considered on its own merits, after hearing the interested parties.

4. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 30.05.2025, and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after issuing notice to petitioner and third respondent.

5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. 24.06.2025 NCC :
