PRAYER: Contempt Petition filed under Section 10 of the Contempt of Courts Act, to punish the contemnors 1 and 2 / Appellants 1 and 2 for their willfully disobeying the common order passed by this Hon`ble Court in WP(MD) No.8642 of 2019 dated 25.04.2019 and further the same was confirmed by the Hon`ble Division Bench of this Court in CMP(MD) No.5592 of 2021 in WA(MD) No.SR 16801 of 2021 dated 09.11.2022.

2.Today(22.11.2024), when these contempt petitions are taken up for hearing, the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that as against the order passed by this Court in the batch of writ petitions in WP(MD) Nos. 8585 of 2019 etc., dated 25.04.2019, the respondent Indian Medicine 2/5
and Homeopathy Department preferred writ appeal in WA(MD)SR.No.16801 of 2021 and the same was dismissed at the SR stage itself on 09.11.2022. Challenging the same, the Department has preferred a Special Leave Petition with an application to condone the delay, before the Honourable Supreme Court in IA.No. 88650 of 2024, wherein, the Honourable Supreme Court has ordered notice.
3.Since the matter has been taken cognizance by the Honourable Supreme Court, these Contempt Petitions are closed with liberty to the petitioners to revive these petitions, based on the outcome from the Honourable Supreme Court.
