Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider the representation, dated 02.05.2025, and to dispose the same within the stipulated time as fixed by the Honble Court. ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to first respondent to consider his representation, dated 02.05.2025, within the time stipulated by this Court.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that he owns properties in Survey No.391/4D and 391/7 in Keelapakuthi Village, Kadavur Taluk, Karur District. In between the properties owned by the petitioner, there is a land in Survey No.391/9. The petitioner has been using the same for cultivation purpose. Therefore, he submitted a representation before the District Collector, Karur, on 28.08.2023. The same was forwarded to second respondent and he rejected the representation of the petitioner, by order, dated 01.09.2023. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner submitted a representation before first respondent on 02.05.2025. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

The Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for respondents, submits that second respondent rejected the request of the petitioner, on the ground that the subject property was classified as Government Poramboke Kulakkarai land. She further submits that the representation submitted by the petitioner will be considered in accordance with law.

4. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 02.05.2025, and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order, after affording reasonable opportunity to petitioner and other interested parties.

5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. 23.06.2025 NCC :
