O R D E R

The disciplinary proceeding initiated against the petitioner under Rule 9(2)(b) of the Tamil Nadu Pension Rules, 1978 by the Director of Town Panchayat, Chennai/second respondent herein, is sought to be disposed of within a time limit to be framed by this Court.

learned Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission.

3.The petitioner retired from service on 30.04.2014 as an Executive Officer in Manimutharu Town Panchayat. He did not get the retiral benefits, because of pendency of the disciplinary proceedings initiated against him. Therefore, the petitioner has given a representation dated 18.05.2016, requesting early orders to be passed in respect of the disciplinary proceedings. As the same has not been considered, this Writ petition has been filed. 4.It is agreeable for the respondents to pass orders on the disciplinary proceedings dated 13.05.2016 within the time limit to be fixed by this Court.

5.Accordingly, the first respondent is directed to pass appropriate orders in the disciplinary proceedings dated 13.05.2016 within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.The Writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
