ORDER

The petitioner has approached this Court that though FIR in Cr.No. 553 of 2021 was registered in the year 2021, the respondent Police has 1/4

not taken any steps to file the final report.

2. Mr.P.Kottaichamy, learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), who takes notice for the respondent Police, submits that the investigation in Crime No.553 of 2021 was completed and the final report has been filed before the learned Judicial Magistrate, Uthamapalayam, by way of e-filing in No.LTN20250001784C2025000135 on 22.06.2025.

3. In view of the said submission, this Criminal Original Petition is closed. Mere filing of the final report through e-filing is not sufficient. The respondent Police should ensure that the final report is taken on file within a reasonable time. It is not only the responsibility of the respondent Police, the trial Court is also expected to take the final report on file, without any delay.
