O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Certiorari praying to quash the impugned Notification dated 14.10.2016 of the first respondent calling for the application for the post of Technician (Sound Recording).
2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel, who took notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal. 3.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner was appointed as Technician (Sound Engineering and Recording) in the Centre for Film and Electronic Media Studies of the respondents, on a consolidated pay of Rs.30,000/- p.m. and he joined duty on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
23.09.2013. As he was working on a temporary basis and on consolidated pay, he made representation on 02.01.2015 praying to provide him work as per his appointment order. But, the same was not considered by the respondent. When the second respondent called for the appointment for the post of Technician (Sound Engineering and Recording) on 10.06.2015, he filed W.P(MD)No.10474 of 2015 on the file of this Court, wherein an order of status quo was ordered and the same was extended until further orders, vide order dated 07.07.2015. Thereafter, the first respondent issued a Circular dated 14.10.2016, calling for the appointment for the post of Technician (Sound Recording). The same is illegal and arbitrary. Therefore, this writ petition has been filed. 4.
Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the respondents submitted a notification dated 25.10.2016, wherein it is stated that the temporary posts notified, dated 14.10.2016, on consolidated pay in the Centre for Film and Electronic Media Studies in Madurai Kamaraj University, is withdrawn herewith due to 'Administrative Reasons'. 5.As the notification, under challenge is withdrawn, nothing survives for adjudication.
6.Recording the same, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are dismissed.
