O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 19.07.2016 and provide electricity service connection to the petitioner.

2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel, who took notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal. 3.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner had two separate electricity service connections in SC 877 for the house and SC 1163 for the shop constructed in the front side of his house. The petitioner demolished the old superstructure i.e., shop alone and in doing so, surrendered the electricity service connection in SC 1163 on the advice of the officials of the Electricity Board on the belief that he can obtain the electricity service connection after construction of the new shop. After completion of construction of the shop, enclosing all the necessary certificates, the petitioner has submitted a representation dated 19.07.2016, asking for electricity service connection in respect of his shop. As the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.The learned counsel for the respondents would submit that the respondents shall consider the representation of the petitioner and to pass appropriate orders within a period of two weeks.

5.Recording the submission made by the learned counsel for the respondents, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 19.07.2016 and to pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
