Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent herein to provide necessary police protection during the conduct of the Annathanam Function during the coming Taipoosam Festival Day on 09.02.2017 at in the petitioner's own premises situated at Survey Number 364/19 measuring an extent of 0.03.75 situated at Vengaipatti Village, Sivagangai District on the basis of the petitioner's representation dated 02.01.2017.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give police protection on the eve of Annathanam Function in the place mentioned therein, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus. 2.Mr.M.Govindan, learned Special Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.It is seen from the records that on 02.01.2017 the petitioner has given a representation to the respondents and the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, the following order can be passed.

costs and the second respondent viz., Inspector of Police, Singampunari Police Station, Sivagangai District is directed to look into the representation dated 02.01.2017 and take appropriate action in accordance with law.
