PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to dispose of the Appeal filed by the petitioner's Temple as per G.O.Ms.No.385 dated 17.08.2004 with regard to rectifying the defects in updating the registry cases (UDR) in respect of Survey No.542/1 to 542/23 situated at Therku Kadayam Village, Ambasamudram Taluk, Tirunelveli District within the stipulated period as fixed by this Court. Mr.S.Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondents.

2. The petitioner seeks for a direction to the District Revenue Officer to dispose of the appeal filed by them arising out of UDR patta proceedings.

3. It is stated that the said appeal filed on 05.11.2014 is not yet been disposed of. Therefore, without expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, I only direct the third respondent herein to consider the appeal filed by the petitioner and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due opportunity of hearing to any other third parties, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
