PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the first and second respondents to provide adequate police protection for the petitioner and his family members for his life and limp based on the petitioner's complaint dated 22.07.2019.

ORDER

This petition has been filed seeking a direction to the first and second respondents to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family members.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the official respondents. Considering the nature of the order going to be passed in this petition, notice to the third respondent is dispensed with.

According to the petitioner, a civil dispute is pending between the petitioner and the third respondent regarding taking water from a common Well, and a suit filed by the third respondent is also pending before the learned District Munsif, Dindigul. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/4

Crl.O.P.(MD)No.11055 of 2019 Pending suit, the third respondent is preventing the petitioner from taking water from the common Well. Hence, the petitioner has filed a petition before the second respondent seeking protection. But the same was not considered by the second respondent. Hence, the petitioner has filed the present petition before this Court.

4. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the official respondents, on instructions, would submit that based on the complaint given by the petitioner, the second respondent conducted enquiry, in which the petitioner and the third respondent have appeared and made a statement that they will resolve the issue before the competent civil Court. Recording the same, the complaint given by the petitioner was closed.

5. In view of the fact that already the complaint lodged by the petitioner has been enquired and closed, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
