PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to pay the arrears of professional tax of the petitioner retained by the 2nd respondent to the concerned authorities and to refund the excessive amount deducted and 1/4

ORDER

The petitioner with a grievance that respondent transport corporation has deducted professional tax in excess from the petitioner and therefore, it needs to be reviewed has submitted a representation and has filed this writ petition.

2.When this writ petition has been taken up for hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent transport corporation submits that the professional tax is deducted as per the fixation made by the local body. Further the petitioner has not added the local body as a respondent in this writ petition. The representation of the petitioner has been 2/4

considered and it has been rejected by proceedings dated 09.12.2024, a copy of which is also produced before this Court. 3.Considering the subsequent developments this writ petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to challenge the order dated 09.12.2024. No costs.
