ORDER

The petitioner has come up with the above writ petition seeking for the issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to sanction and disburse the educational loan to the petitioner based on his application dated 05.11.2015. 2.Heard Mr.R.R.Thomothar Raj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.Pala.Ramasamy, learned counsel appearing for the respondent.

3.According to the petitioner, the petitioner is studying M.Tech in Automobile Engineering Course which is an integrated five years course in SASTRA University, Thanjavur. Therefore, he has submitted an application for educational loan for a sum of Rs.5,71,000/- before the respondent on 05.11.2015. Since no order has been passed, the present writ petition has been filed. 4.Learned counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that since the loan amount is more than Rs.4,00,000/-, the petitioner has to furnish sufficient surety and on furnishing such surety, the respondent shall consider his loan application. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

5.In such view of the matter, the petitioner is directed to furnish sufficient surety for the loan amount as sought by him. On furnishing such surety, the respondent is directed to consider the loan application of the petitioner and grant loan within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
