Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family members and his blood relatives to peaceful enjoyment of his properties in Survey Nos.174/5A1 and 174/5A2 situated at South Andauorani Village, Panichagudi Group, Thiruvadanai Sub-Division, Karaikudi Registration, Sivagangai District and take necessary action by considering petitioner's representation dated 09.05.2017.

O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner and his family members and his blood relatives to peaceful enjoyment of his properties in Survey Nos.174/5A1 and 174/5A2 situated at South Andauorani Village, Panichagudi Group, Thiruvadanai Sub-Division, Karaikudi Registration, Sivagangai District and take necessary action by considering petitioner's representation dated 09.05.2017.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner is directed to be disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4. In view of the limited scope of the prayer, without going into the merits of the matter, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 09.05.2017 on merits and in accordance with law after providing an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as the other parties concerned, if any, and pass appropriate orders within a period of two weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
