Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to conduct proper enquiry based on the representation made by the petitioner dated 23.05.2017 regarding the temple festival of Arulmigu Sree Kaliyamman Temple situated in Chinnamallaiyapuram, Javvuthupatty Village, Oddanchathiram Taluk.

O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the the 2nd respondent to conduct proper enquiry based on the representation made by the petitioner dated 23.05.2017 regarding the temple festival of Arulmigu Sree Kaliyamman Temple situated in Chinnamallaiyapuram, Javvuthupatty Village, Oddanchathiram Taluk.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner is directed

to be disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

4. In view of the limited scope of the prayer, without going into the merits of the matter, the respondents are directed to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 23.05.2017 on merits and in accordance with law after providing an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as the other parties concerned, if any, and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
