Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to take action against the Private bus operators those who are all collecting excess bus fare than fixed by the Government in Virudhunagar District and consequently cancel their permits for violation of Motor Vehicles Rules, 1988 on the basis of the representation of the petitioner dated 20.05.2017. The petitioner seeks for a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to take action against the Private bus operators those who are all collecting excess bus fare than fixed by the Government in Virudhunagar District and consequently cancel their https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
permits for violation of Motor Vehicles Rules, 1988 on the basis of the representation of the petitioner dated 20.05.2017. 2.The learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the representation of the petitioner is disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.
4.In view of the limited scope of the prayer, without going into the merits of the matter, the respondents are directed to consider the representation dated 20.05.2017 after giving opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, and pass appropriate orders within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected W.M.P.(MD)No.7613 of 2017 is closed.
