Respondents PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to dispose the statuary appeal proceedings in Na.Ka.A7/9427/2013 now pending on the file of the 1st respondent and pass appropriate orders on merits in the above proceedings within the stipulated time to be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

O R D E R

The petitioner seeks for a Writ of Mandamus to direct the first respondent to dispose the statuary appeal proceedings in Na.Ka.A7/9427/2013, pending on the file of the first respondent and pass appropriate orders on merits in the above proceedings within the stipulated time that may be fixed by this Court.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the first and the second respondents. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that it would suffice if the appeal filed by the petitioner is directed to be disposed of, on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

In view of the limited prayer sought for by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner on merits and in accordance with law, after providing an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as the respondents 3 to 5 and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
