PRAYER: Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's application, dated 07.04.2017 to grant separate Patta to the petitioner's property in Survey No.319/4A1A1A situated at Koottudankadu Village, Thoothukudi Taluk, Thoothukudi District within a time framed by this Court. The petitioner seeks for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 07.04.2017 to grant separate Patta to the petitioner's property in Survey No.319/4A1A1A situated at Koottudankadu Village, Thoothukudi Taluk, Thoothukudi District within a time framed by this Court.
2. The learned Government Advocate takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.
3. At this stage of hearing, the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that it would suffice, if the representation of the petitioner, dated 07.04.2017, is directed to be disposed of, by the respondent, on merits and in accordance with law, within a specified period.
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondent has no objection for such an order being passed by this Court.

5. In view of the averments made in the affidavit filed in support of this Writ Petition and in view of the submissions made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, the respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioner, dated 07.04.2017, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording sufficient opportunity to the petitioner as well as the other interested persons, if any.
6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
