For Respondent : Mr.V.NEELAKANDAN, Additional Public Prosecutor. PETITION FOR ANTICIPATORY BAIL Under Sec. 438 Cr.P.C. ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under Sections 167, 468, 471, 420, 477-A and 409 I.P.C, and Section 13(2) r/w 13(1) (c) (d) of the Prevention of Corruption Act 1988, in Crime No.8 of 2018, seeks anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, Madurai, after demonetization of Rs.500/- and Rs.1,000/- currency notes on 08.11.2016, deposited money in the denomination of Rs.500/- and Rs.1,000/- instead of Rs.5/-, Rs.10/- Rs.20/-, Rs.50/- and Rs.100/-. Hence, the complaint. 3.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent. 4.Taking note of the facts and circumstances, this Court is inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner with certain conditions. Accordingly, the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail in the event of arrest or on his appearance before the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Special Judge, Dindigul and on his executing a bond for a sum of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

with two sureties each for a like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Magistrate concerned and on further condition that the petitioner shall appear before the respondent police as and when required for interrogation. The petitioner shall comply with the conditions stipulated under Section 438 Cr.P.C. scrupulously. 5.The petitioner shall appear before the concerned Magistrate within a period of 15 days from the date on which the order copy made ready, failing which, the petition for anticipatory bail shall stand dismissed.
