PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the first and second respondents ie., the Director of Town Panchayat, Chennai and the Assistant Director of Town Panchayat, Dindigul to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 22.12.2015 for providing drinking water supply connection to his house situated in Door No.14-1-12 G13, Kurunji Nagar, Ayakudi as per G.O(Perm) No.97 Municipal Administration and Water Supply Department dated 12.07.2007, on par with the five houses situated in the same street within a specified time frame that may be fixed by this Court. 2. The petitioner seeks for providing drinking water supply connection to his house situated in Door No.14-1-12 G13, Kurunji

Nagar, Ayakudi. It is seen that the petitioner has made such request through his representation dated 22.12.2015 and the same is still pending for consideration. Therefore, the second respondent is directed to consider the said request of the petitioner and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
